Behind the style

Death in tarot imagery is commonly read as transition, and this portrait makes that visual rather than ominous. A white rose banner crosses the dark armour, an old crown rests low in the foreground, and sunrise opens between towers ahead of the step.

The pet is moving out of shadow toward the light, with one clear stride and a gently raised three-quarter face. That forward motion is the design's point: the white bloom and opening horizon give change a hopeful direction. Thick black-blue, cream and dawn-gold paint gives the scene gravity while keeping the familiar face emotionally present.

Photo & preview checks

Choose a crisp photo with a readable face profile or three-quarter face, ears and chest markings. The walking pose is theme-led, so a clear identity is more important than matching the source pose.

Compare the preview with your photo: check the eyes, ear shape and distinctive markings, then review the crop and how the head meets the body or clothing before approving.

Your approved artwork is printed on museum-quality enhanced matte paper for a refined, non-glossy finish. A lightweight wooden frame completes the portrait, while a clear acrylic front protects the print. Hanging hardware is included, and your artwork arrives framed—no need to find a separate frame or arrange custom framing.
