Behind the style

The Lovers traditionally places two figures beneath an angel and between contrasting trees. This portrait retains the converging paths, apple-tree serpent and warm winged relief as visual echoes, but it is intentionally not a copied couple scene.

Our original solo-pet adaptation makes connection an action: two furred paws join a red and a white rose branch into one arch while the head bows toward the meeting point. The ivory robe, rose-red sash and late light guide the eye back to that choice, so the image reads as a portrait of care and relationship rather than decoration.

Photo & preview checks

Provide a clear photo with the full face, chest and distinctive markings visible. A three-quarter view with both eyes readable is especially helpful for the joining-branches pose.

Compare the preview with your photo: check the eyes, ear shape and distinctive markings, then review the crop and how the head meets the body or clothing before approving.

Your approved artwork is printed on museum-quality enhanced matte paper for a refined, non-glossy finish. A lightweight wooden frame completes the portrait, while a clear acrylic front protects the print. Hanging hardware is included, and your artwork arrives framed—no need to find a separate frame or arrange custom framing.
